Ecojustice goes to court on Glyphosate Product Renewal Case for Safe Food Matters, David Suzuki Foundation, Friends of the Earth Canada and Environmental Defence
Product Renewal Case: Preliminary Motion on the Record
Ecojustice will appear on behalf of major public interest groups to argue Health Canada should produce documents to back up its claim about a glyphosate product. In Case # T-169-23, the applicants argue that the Pest Management Regulatory Agency (PMRA) did not review or require new science and data when it approved the glyphosate product Mad Dog Plus in 2022. The PMRA says it looked at what was before it at the time of the renewal.
The hearing will be held on Tuesday October 24, 2023 at 10 am EST at the Federal Court in Toronto. Address: 180 Queen St West
